Wow, i just saw this video for the very first time of my daughter practicing her English. I am sooooo proud of both of my children. Parker sweetheart, Papa’s proud of you!

I just added a new page with some videos.  I was inspired to add the page because these are videos of my children.  Here’s a link to the page.

Yep, the advertisement got to me on this one.  I just had to see Will Smith flying through the air drunk with a whiskey bottle in his hand.  But, there actually *is* a story to this story.  You will not find a traditional villain in this super hero movie, but there is one.  “Love” turns out to be the villain as you’ll find out when watch the movie.  This is no chart breaking movie, but it’s entertaining enough that I’d probably sit through it again.

It was unfortunate for the Japanese people sitting around me who weren’t able to laugh at the same points as I and there were many.  This is because the movie was sub-titled in Japanese at the bottom of the screen and was not close to being able to pull off much of dialogue based humor as would have been nice.  As a matter of fact, there were a lot of translation points that were very weak.  For example, there’s a scene where the drunk super hero comes home with his new found friend to be greeted by his son.  The son says something like, “Dad, who is this guy?”, but the translation just said “Papa!”

I went and watched the movie “Batman, The Dark Night” a couple of weeks ago with some friends who came in from out of town.  The movie was entertaining from start to finish.  However, I give it credit because of the Joker played by Heath Ledger who is no longer with us.  I didnt know this fact until after I watched the movie.  But The Joker absolutely stole the movie.  As far as Batman was concerned, I wasnt quite as impressed with his performance.  He looked good, but he was overshadowed in acting by Heath Ledger.

I spent quite a while and searched thru a lot of pages to get help on this……and finally my site’s search capability is up and running. So now, Google provides all of my site’s search results. Cool !

In the right hand side bar there were originally a few more blocks of information that I have temporarily commented out.  However, I later plan to put them back in conditionally for when the page being shown is of a certain type.  But my goal is to go for as uncluttered of a look as possible.

Since I destroyed my my blog several days ago….I’ve been screwing around with different ideas about how I should handle my blog theme.  I finally found one that is simple and clean and fits my personality.  However, I plan make some changes to it to make it even more simple.

I recently deleted my blog database accidentally while trying to update my blog and boom……here we are with a brand new blog.  However, I’m actually quite pleased with the mistake because I was considering deleting my whole site anyway and starting over.  I guess I dont have to make that decision any longer.

My next task will be to find a theme that I’m pleased with.  The one I had before was ok…..but I’ll look at others again.
